Terms and conditions of Sale.

• Unfortunately I am frequently targeted by fraud attempts so I have to reserve the right to refuse and cancel any bid, payment or payment method from any user at any time for any reason, up to and including rejecting a payment. (Though obviously I'm not going to do that if I can possibly avoid it!). So the contract of sale only becomes binding between us when I have acknowledged and accepted your payment for the goods.
• Payment. Using Paypal is much preferred as it the simplest method for all parties, and it is the only method of payment I will accept from outside the UK. I will also happily accept Bank Transfer, Builing society cheques and so on of course but they may cause some delay, and Echeques and personal cheques etc. can cause a considerable delay I'm afraid :-(
• I may need additional proof of address and/or identity for some payment methods.
• Auctions. Winning bidders of Auctions need to contact me within 3 days of the end of the item listing e.g. by completing eBays 'checkout', email etc. as if no contact is made I will assume the user is going to default and I will relist or otherwise resell the item.
• International users please note I will only ship to confirmed Paypal addresses and I do not accept any other form of International payment.
• I cannot accept Escrow under any circumstances due to the very high number of fraudulent sites :-(
• Payment is due within 7 days of the end of an auction. If no payment is received by the end of seven days (and no other arrangements have been agreed at my discretion) I will assume the user has defaulted and I will relist or otherwise resell the item.
• Shipping. Unless otherwise stated in the item listing insured P+P via Special Delivery is FREE for all rings in the UK.
• International buyers please ask about shipping costs before buying or bidding, and where International insurance is not available the item will only be sent at the buyers sole risk.
• I will only ever dispatch any item after I have received cleared funds, so again Echeques,  personal cheques etc. will cause a delay I'm afraid.
• I will not ship to Indonesia, Singapore, Nigeria etc under any circumstances.
• I will only send items to the users registered Paypal address.
• All images and text in the listings are my copyright and all rights are reserved. 

Refunds & Returns.

• General. Within the UK you have the right to return goods sold to you for a refund under the Distance Selling Regulations*, for any reason whatsoever, for any item sold to you via eBay or my website.
  To exercise your right of return and receive a 100% refund you must:-
   
•  Notify me by email or in writing within 7 days of receipt of the item of your intent to return an item and cancel the contract of sale.
• The item must be returned to me at your expense as soon as practically possible and in any case within 14 days.
• The item must be returned to me in exactly the same condition as it was sent out (including any tags, certificates, boxes etc.). NB You are responsible for the item until it is returned to me so I strongly suggest you use an insured postal method e.g. Special Delivery from the Royal Mail.
• I will refund the original cost price and the original postage to you.

• *Bespoke or altered/resized items.
  Any item that is made, resized or otherwise altered to your individual requirements prior to dispatch is specifically excepted from the Distance Selling Regulations (see Office of Fair Trading leaflet 672, part II, para. 2.8).
  So Resized or Custom made items for example can only be returned under the Sale of Goods act, e.g. for metal not of the fineness described, Gemstone not of the type or size specified. You do not have a right of return for such items under the Distance Selling Regulations.
   
• International items are eligible for return for refund less all shipping costs and unrecoverable costs (eg eBay listing fees), subject to the conditions given above. Unless of course the item is significantly not as described in which case I will refund in full.
• Business to Business sales are not eligible for return or refund unless significantly not as described.

At my sole discretion I may offer a buy back/part exchange option upon request, for an upgrade in size or quality for example. This will usually be the scrap value of the item only unless a part exchange or upgrade is being requested. This is in addition to and not part of your statutory rights.

Diamond Grading.
Unless the item listing specifies that the Diamond has been certified by a Gemmological laboratory, any grades given are my opinion only, based on the EGL-USA's grading system. I do my honest best but I am not a qualified gemmologist so any grades given are only a guide. No gemmological grading lab. in the world will guarantee their Diamond grading as some aspects are more art than science and so I certainly can't.
